About Angela!

I'm a museum professional with a Master’s in Museum Studies from Indiana University Indianapolis and a background in Anthropology. My work focuses on natural history collections—especially taxidermy care, ethical stewardship, and how museum displays influence the way people understand the natural world.

As a Collections Intern at the Indiana State Museum, I worked closely with the Natural History and Archaeology department, caring for and reinterpreting taxidermy specimens. My work emphasized the importance of preserving not just physical objects, but also the meaning and integrity they hold. Through cleaning, rehousing, and refining presentation techniques, I contributed to more accurate and respectful representations of wildlife within the museum setting.

I'm passionate about making collections accessible, telling stories responsibly, and supporting conservation through education. Whether I’m cataloging, digitizing, or collaborating on exhibitions, I bring hands-on experience, attention to detail, and a deep respect for the objects in my care. My goal is to make museum collections more engaging, truthful, and meaningful for all audiences.
